Managed IT Support
One number for the office and the floor, with somebody who knows which of your systems can wait until tomorrow and which cannot wait ten minutes.
Explore Managed ITHuddersfield is about fifteen miles from us — out on the M606, down the M62, off at Ainley Top or Outlane and into town. We are based in Bradford, not Huddersfield, and we would rather say that plainly than dress up a coverage area as an office.
What brings Kirklees businesses to us is usually the same thing: an IT company that understands the works orders and the production floor matter as much as the laptops. Ring 0333 344 9588 and tell us what is stopping.
Kirklees did not stop making things when the mills went. The district is known for advanced manufacturing, technical textiles, pharmaceuticals and precision engineering, with a deep supply chain feeding automotive and other manufacturers, and the University of Huddersfield hosting National Physical Laboratory measurement capability on its campus. That mix shows up in our inbox.
Supporting a manufacturer is a different job from supporting an office, and plenty of IT companies quietly do not want it. The awkward bits are specific. There is a PC bolted to a machine running something ancient because the machine vendor never certified anything newer. There is a steel-framed workshop where Wi-Fi is reflected, absorbed and generally abused. There is a works-order system nobody dares touch, CAD files too big for whatever the broadband can manage, and a label printer that stops the despatch bay when it sulks.
What we do about it: keep production equipment on its own segment away from the office network and away from the internet where it should be, so an old unpatchable PC is contained rather than a way in. Design the Wi-Fi for the actual building, including the yard if people are scanning out there. Treat a line stopping as a different severity of problem from a slow laptop, because it is.
Both are tickets. Only one of them is costing you money every minute it stays open.
Three fairly different sorts of premises, and the IT problems sort themselves accordingly.
The established industrial run out of town past the stadium and the retail park — trade counters, workshops and light industrial units. Older buildings, mixed wiring, and connectivity that varies wildly from one unit to the next.
Connectivity surveysJunction 23 at Outlane and junction 24 at Ainley Top put Huddersfield within easy reach of both Leeds and Manchester, which is why so many businesses here end up running more than one site.
Multi-site IT supportProfessional offices, agencies and the small firms that grow out of the university. Fewer cabling problems, more questions about Microsoft 365, security questionnaires and what to do about staff who work from everywhere.
Microsoft 365 supportManaged support is priced per user per month and published on our pricing page — rolling monthly, 30 days' notice, no three-year tie-in.

Sitting between junctions 23 and 24 pulls Huddersfield businesses in both directions. Leeds is one way, Manchester the other, and a great many firms here end up with a second site — a warehouse, a trade counter, a sales office, or a works unit they took on because the lease came up at the right moment.
What tends to happen is that each site grows its own IT. Different broadband suppliers, a server in one building everybody else drags files across from, a phone system at head office that the other unit cannot use properly, and separate Wi-Fi passwords nobody can remember.
We straighten that out: files and email in Microsoft 365 rather than tied to one building, one phone system that reaches every site and every mobile, consistent Wi-Fi and the same logins wherever somebody sits down. It also makes the next unit far cheaper to open.
Phones across multiple sitesIndustrial premises accumulate suppliers — phones from one, cameras from another, the printer from somebody's cousin. We can take the lot on.
We support businesses across Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Mirfield, Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, Meltham, Slaithwaite, Marsden and the villages between them.
Worth being clear about the geography, because providers get it wrong: Brighouse and Elland are in Calderdale, not Kirklees, and they are covered on our Halifax and Calderdale page. The Spen Valley towns at the north of Kirklees — Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike — are closer to us than Huddersfield itself.
Day to day, software and account problems get fixed remotely while you carry on. Cabling, hardware, Wi-Fi work, new premises and anything on the floor gets a visit. Also nearby: Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford, with the full list on areas we cover.
Two different boroughs with two different sets of towns. We will not tell you we cover somewhere and then not know where it is.
The reason manufacturers put up with bad IT support for years is simple: the risk of changing feels worse than the irritation of staying. Nobody wants to be the person who moved the email over and stopped the despatch labels printing.
So we take the production-critical items first and treat them as their own small projects, not as line items on a migration checklist. Which machines have a PC attached, what talks to the works-order system, which printer the warehouse cannot operate without, what the accounts package actually needs, and who holds the licence keys. Email and files move once that lot is understood.
Anybody can migrate a mailbox. The skill is knowing what the warehouse will notice.
No. We are at 521 Thornton Road, Bradford, BD8 9RB — roughly fifteen miles out on the M606 and M62. There is no Huddersfield office. Most support happens remotely and we drive over for the jobs that need hands on the equipment.
It is extremely common and it is manageable. The wrong answer is forcing an update that the machine vendor never certified. The right answer is usually to isolate that PC on its own network segment with no route out to the internet, so it can keep doing its job without being the way an attacker gets in. See cyber security for how we approach it.
Usually, but it needs designing rather than guessing — steel, racking and machinery all interfere, and a single access point in the office will not reach the back of a unit. We survey, place the access points properly and cable them in. Structured cabling and managed Wi-Fi covers it.
Yes, this comes up more every year as larger manufacturers push requirements down their supply chain. We go through it with you, tell you honestly which answers are currently weak, and fix the ones worth fixing. We can also help you work towards Cyber Essentials if a customer is asking for it.
Across Kirklees: Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Mirfield, Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, Meltham, Slaithwaite and Marsden. Brighouse and Elland are in Calderdale and sit on the Halifax page instead.
Managed support prices are published per user per month on the pricing page, on a rolling monthly agreement with 30 days' notice. Shop-floor cabling, Wi-Fi and camera work is quoted separately once we have seen the building. Our case studies show the sort of work that turns into.
