IT Support Services for Small Businesses
An outsourced IT department for businesses of 6–25 people who have nobody in-house to fix things. Helpdesk, Microsoft 365, cyber security and backup from £39.96 per user a month, rolling monthly, and a phone that someone actually answers.
Most small businesses don't need an IT department. They need someone dependable to be the IT department — to keep everything running, sort problems quickly when they happen, and give straight advice without a sales pitch attached.
That's what REONEX does. We look after the IT for small and medium-sized businesses across West Yorkshire: professional services, manufacturers, recruitment firms, estate agents, charities and plenty of others. Typically 6 to 25 people, no in-house IT, and a business owner who would rather not think about it.
Support starts at £39.96 per user per month on a rolling monthly contract with 30 days' notice, and the prices are published on the website rather than hidden behind a quote form. If you'd rather just talk to someone, ring 0333 344 9588 and you'll get a human who knows what they're talking about. Worth saying plainly: we're based in Bradford and we cover Yorkshire, so if you're in Cornwall we're probably not the right firm for you — and we'd tell you that on the first call rather than three emails in.
The problems we actually get called about
Businesses this size rarely ring up asking for “managed services”. They ring up because of something specific. Usually one of these:
- One person has quietly become “the IT person”. Usually the office manager or whoever is best with computers. It isn't their job, they're learning it off YouTube, and it's eating a chunk of every week they should be spending on the work they were hired for.
- Nobody is sure who can get into what. Leavers whose accounts are still live, passwords in a spreadsheet, everyone set up as an administrator because it was easier at the time. It works right up until it really doesn't.
- There's a backup, but nobody has ever restored from it. A box in the cupboard with a green light on is not the same thing as a tested backup and recovery plan. We find out which one you've got before you need it.
- Microsoft 365 licences have grown like weeds. Paying for people who left, the wrong plan for what you need, and features you're already entitled to sat switched off. Tidying this up often pays for a chunk of the support.
- Someone clicked something they shouldn't have. A convincing invoice email, a fake login page. Small firms get targeted precisely because they're assumed to have no security worth getting past.
- A laptop died and there's no spare. So a fee-earner sits doing nothing for two days while someone orders a replacement, sets it up from scratch and hopes the files were in OneDrive.
- The old arrangement has gone quiet. The bloke who used to sort it has got busier, or the provider that was fine at five users treats you like a ticket number at fifteen. Nothing is broken enough to be an emergency, so it drifts.
None of these are disasters on their own. The point is that there's nobody whose job it is to notice them, which is what you're actually buying when you outsource IT support. Not sure whether you've got a real problem? A second opinion on your current IT costs nothing.
What's included in small business IT support
Our managed IT support plans are built around what a small business actually uses day to day. Every plan includes:
- A helpdesk you can actually reach. Log a problem by phone, email or the online portal. Every request is tracked and prioritised, and you can see what's happening with it. Each plan includes an hour of helpdesk support per user, per month.
- Proactive monitoring and patching. Your computers and servers are monitored, updated and maintained in the background, so small issues get fixed before they turn into a day of downtime.
- Microsoft 365 set up and managed properly. Email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive configured the right way, licences kept tidy, starters and leavers handled quickly.
- Cyber security built in. Business-grade antivirus, multi-factor authentication, email and phishing protection, and — on the higher plans — Microsoft Defender and 24/7 threat monitoring.
- Backup you can restore from. Microsoft 365 backed up separately from Microsoft, so a deleted mailbox, a ransomware hit or a hardware failure isn't the end of the world.
- Network and Wi-Fi support. Routers, switches, firewalls and wireless looked after — and cabling and managed Wi-Fi if the building needs it.
- Hardware without the hassle. Managed laptops available on every plan, supplied, configured and replaced when they need to be.
Need phones, broadband or CCTV as well? Business telecoms (3CX), connectivity and CCTV and door access all sit alongside the IT support, from the same team.
Who it's for
Our sweet spot is businesses of roughly 6 to 25 users — big enough that IT problems cost real money, not big enough to justify employing someone to deal with them. We work particularly well with:
- Professional services — accountants, solicitors, consultancies, agencies
- Manufacturing and construction
- Estate agents and recruitment
- Charities, healthcare and education and training providers
If you've outgrown ad-hoc "call someone when it breaks" support, or your current provider has become a ticket number and a voicemail, you're exactly who we set up to help.
How much does small business IT support cost?
Pricing is per user, per month, and published on our pricing page — no “call for a quote” games.
- Support with Microsoft 365 included from £39.96 per user per month, with stronger security tiers at £61.39 and £72.72.
- A managed laptop is optional on every plan and priced separately — see the pricing page for the per-plan figure.
Prices exclude VAT. Your exact quote is confirmed after a free IT health check, so if you already have Microsoft 365 or antivirus you're never paying twice for the same thing. Plans run month to month with 30 days' notice — we'd rather keep you because the service is good than because a contract says so.
For a ten-person firm on the entry plan that's around £400 a month. Worth holding that against what one day of everybody sat unable to work costs you, or against employing someone part-time to do the same job. If the honest answer is that you don't need a support contract yet, we'll say so. Happy to talk it through on 0333 344 9588.
How it works
- 1Discovery call. Tell us about the business, what you've got and what's slowing you down.
- 2Free IT health check. We look at your setup, security and network. No obligation, no jargon.
- 3Clear proposal. A plan matched to your business with honest pricing — and if there's something you don't need, we'll say so.
- 4Onboarding and ongoing support. We take over from your current arrangement with as little disruption as possible, then it's proactive monitoring, a responsive helpdesk and one point of contact.

Why a local IT support company matters
Most support happens remotely and quickly. But when a switch fails, a new office needs cabling, or a laptop has to be swapped today, it helps that we're based in Bradford rather than a call centre three hundred miles away. We cover Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley and Sheffield on site, and the rest of Yorkshire remotely — see the areas we cover.
Just as important: you'll deal with people who know your business and your setup. You won't have to explain it from scratch every time you ring.
Common questions
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. Plans are rolling monthly with 30 days' notice unless you ask for something different.
We already have Microsoft 365. Do we have to buy it again through you?
No. We'll take your existing licences into account during the health check and price the support only.
Can you take over from our current IT company?
Yes — it's most of what we do. We'll plan the handover with you so nothing gets lost, and we'll be honest about anything we find that needs fixing.
What about evenings and weekends?
Standard plans cover normal business hours. If you need out-of-hours cover, tell us at the health check and we'll agree it up front rather than surprise you later.
What if we're smaller than 6 users, or bigger than 25?
Get in touch anyway. The 6–25 range is where we fit best, but it isn't a rule — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
We're not in Yorkshire. Can you still support us?
Most of the work is remote, so geography matters less than it used to. But on-site visits are a real part of good support, and we only cover Yorkshire for those. If you're further afield, ring us anyway and we'll be straight with you about whether it would work — and if it wouldn't, we won't try to sell it to you.
How quickly can we get started?
The health check is usually the only thing that needs diary juggling. After that, onboarding is planned around your week rather than ours, and we take it on in stages so nobody loses a working day to the handover.
