Thinking About Changing IT Provider?

Changing IT provider doesn't mean changing everything. REONEX starts by understanding what's already working in your business, then puts together an organised handover so nothing gets missed and nothing stops working along the way.

How we approach it

We start by understanding what's already working

Every business's setup is different, and most of it doesn't need to change just because the provider looking after it does. Before REONEX suggests changing anything, we review what you have — your systems, your equipment, your contracts — and build the handover around keeping what works and fixing what doesn't.

That's a deliberately different starting point from "rip and replace." It's slower to talk about, but it means far less disruption for your team.

An organised handover, not a scramble

We work through the switch methodically, so your team barely notices the change happening.

Questions businesses ask before changing IT provider

It doesn't have to. A well-run handover is planned around your business, with changes made at sensible times and access confirmed before anything is switched over, so day-to-day work carries on as normal.

Your business does. As part of a handover, REONEX will help you establish who holds administrator access to your accounts and systems, and make sure that access sits with your business, not solely with an outgoing provider.

Your Microsoft 365 tenant and data stay exactly where they are — changing IT provider does not mean changing Microsoft 365. What changes is who administers it on your behalf.

Your domain should remain registered in your business's name throughout. REONEX will check who currently holds the registration and help resolve it if that isn't already the case.

In most cases, yes. Existing equipment is assessed as part of the handover, and REONEX will only recommend replacing something if it's genuinely reaching the end of its useful life or causing real problems.

No. Changing IT provider doesn't mean changing everything. REONEX starts by understanding what's already working and builds on it, rather than replacing systems for the sake of it.

As a minimum: administrator access to Microsoft 365 and any other cloud systems, network and Wi-Fi passwords, details of any backups in place, and documentation of your setup. REONEX can advise on what to request.

REONEX will review what backup arrangements are currently in place and make sure your business remains protected throughout the switch, putting independent backup in place where it's missing.

Existing phone numbers can typically be ported to a new system without being lost. REONEX will confirm what's possible with your current setup as part of the handover.

Broadband and other connectivity contracts can usually continue as they are, or be reviewed separately once REONEX understands what you currently have in place.

Your business does. REONEX works to make sure Global Administrator access to your Microsoft 365 tenant sits with your organisation, not permanently with any one IT provider.

It depends on the size and complexity of your setup, but most handovers are planned and completed within a few weeks, with a clear point at which REONEX becomes your main point of contact.
